Holidays in Fuerteventura

All of our Costa Caleta holidays are ABTA and ATOL protected.Costa Caleta – or Caleta de Fuste as the locals call it – sits on the east coast of Fuerteventura in the Canary Islands. It's been purpose-built, so you won't go wanting for shops, bars and restaurants, which are all to hand on the main street. And while the nights are just the right side of lively, days are all about lazing on the sheltered beach. A kilometre of glittering sand dotted with a few pebbly patches is what you'll find at Costa Caleta's beach. It's set in a curved bay, so you're nice and sheltered here. There are a few beachfront cafés on hand and plenty of sun loungers. And there's a great pick of watersports, particularly windsurfing, which is very popular here. In terms of activities, Costa Caleta caters well for families. The place is dotted with play parks, mini-golf courses and amusement arcades – plus on Fridays throughout July and August, there's face-painting and a bouncy castle down by the beach. The number 3 bus will get you into the capital, Puerto del Rosario, in 20 minutes. The place used to be called Puerto Cabras – that's Goat's Port – but these days it's not goats you'll see but lots of fun and quirky sculptures. If you're driving, 40 minutes takes you to the desert landscape of Dunas de Corralejo National Park.
